    Burns

Also known as: thermal burns, scald, contact burn, flame burn, minor burn

Burns are tissue injuries caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, radiation or friction. Immediate first aid and assessment of burn depth and extent are essential. Acupuncture is only an adjunct during recovery and must never delay emergency care.
