Pumpkin and Job's tears make a mild, warmly served congee for damp, slow spring mornings.

Ingredients
- 60 g Job's tears, soaked overnight
- 50 g jasmine rice
- 250 g pumpkin, diced
- 1.2 L water
- 10 g dried longan
- Sea salt
Method
- 1Drain Job's tears and combine with rice and water.
- 2Simmer partly covered for 25 minutes.
- 3Add pumpkin and cook for another 15 minutes.
- 4Add longan for 5 minutes, mash a little pumpkin into the broth, season and rest.
Nutrition (approx.): ~180 kcal per serving · 1 bowl (~300 ml)
