    Location

    1.5 cùn lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T4.

    Actions

    • Regulates the Heart and Pericardium
    • Unbinds the chest and opens the diaphragm
    • Calms the Shén

    Indications

    Chest oppression, palpitations, anxiety, cardiac neurosis, insufficient lactation.

    First-line for emotional cardiac patterns; pairs well with PC-6.

    Needling technique

    Oblique toward the spine, 0.5–0.8 cùn.

    Moxibustion

    Gentle stick moxa suits chest cold and Heart Yáng deficiency; avoid direct moxa where Heart Fire is present.

    Cautions

    Pneumothorax risk with deep perpendicular needling.

    Classical pairings

    • PC-6 Nèi Guān — Luò point, opens the chest and calms Shén
    • REN-17 Shān Zhōng — Front-Mù of the Pericardium
    • BL-15 Xīn Shū — combined for palpitations with anxiety
