    Location

    1.5 cùn lateral to the median sacral crest, level with the 1st posterior sacral foramen (S1).

    Actions

    • Regulates the Small Intestine
    • Clears Damp-Heat from the Lower Jiāo
    • Separates the pure from the turbid

    Indications

    Lower abdominal pain, dysuria, sacral pain, seminal emission.

    Located on the sacrum — needled shallowly, moxa welcome.

    Needling technique

    Perpendicular 0.8–1.2 cùn into the sacrum. Do not attempt to enter the foramen.

    Moxibustion

    Very responsive to moxa for cold-type Lower Jiāo patterns.

    Cautions

    Avoid strong stimulation in pregnancy.
