    How to use this companion

    1. 1Work in clause order. The Shāng Hán Lùn teaches by accumulation — clause 12 only makes sense because clause 1 set the frame.
    2. 2For every formula, write out the ingredients from memory before checking. Formula architecture is learned by rebuilding, not by reading.
    3. 3Treat the contradictions between clauses as the lesson, not as errors. They are where the differentiation lives.
    4. 4Volumes I–III are covered in order: Tài Yáng first, then Yáng Míng and Shào Yáng, then the three Yīn stages.
