    Heart Failure (adjunctive support)

Also known as: heart failure, congestive heart failure, CHF, weak heart

Heart failure means the heart cannot pump strongly enough, producing breathlessness, fatigue and fluid build-up in the legs and lungs. It is managed with modern medicines (ACE inhibitors, beta blockers, diuretics, newer agents) — Chinese medicine cannot replace them. In the classical literature the picture overlaps 心水 (heart water) and chest impediment; acupuncture and herbs may support comfort, sleep and energy alongside the medical plan.
