    Ankle sprain (adjunctive care)

    An ankle sprain is overstretching or tearing of the ligaments, usually on the outer side after rolling the ankle. Early care is protection, gentle loading and graduated rehab exercises. Chinese medicine treats it as Qi and Blood stagnation in the local channels, with swelling from Damp.

    Lifestyle & Diet

    • •First 48 hours: protect, relative rest, ice, compression, elevation.

    • •Progress to balance exercises (single-leg stand, wobble board) once pain allows.
