    Painful Intercourse (dyspareunia)

Also known as: dyspareunia, pain during sex, painful intercourse

Dyspareunia is persistent pain with intercourse — from dryness (especially after menopause), infections, endometriosis, pelvic-floor tension or scar tissue. Gynaecological assessment identifies the cause; pelvic-floor physiotherapy and lubricants help most. Chinese medicine treats liver constraint, yin deficiency and heart-spleen patterns alongside.
